About the Opportunity
ASB Bank is offering a newly created role to spearhead the future of People Data within the organisation. This position is integral to ensuring reliable, high-quality data that empowers better decision-making impacting New Zealanders positively.
Role Overview
As the People Data Product Owner, you will lead the definition and execution of the People Data strategy within the People Systems & Analytics team. This involves overseeing the full lifecycle of People Data products to ensure they are trustworthy, easily accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for developing the Data roadmap, establishing governance and ownership structures, enhancing data quality, and championing adoption of these data products throughout ASB.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of People Data products ensuring strategic alignment and data integrity.
- Create and drive a roadmap that facilitates smarter workforce decisions.
- Implement governance frameworks and ownership models for People Data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across People, Technology, Enterprise Data & Analytics, Privacy and Risk teams.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable data solutions that generate lasting business value.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Proven track record managing data products across their lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of data governance, quality standards and stewardship.
- Familiarity with People data, workforce analytics, or HR technology platforms.
- Experience managing privacy, risk, and compliance obligations related to data.
- Exceptional stakeholder influence and alignment capabilities.
- Ability to convert strategic priorities into clear, effective roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
