About the Role
The Payroll Executive is a vital member of the Payroll team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for approximately 30,000 colleagues. This role involves managing payroll from initiation to completion, resolving complex payroll inquiries, and supporting the overall team and business units. The focus is on delivering first-class service by adhering to compliance standards and simplifying payroll processes for clarity among team members and other employees, all while maintaining a colleague-first approach.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and punctual completion of designated payrolls, complying with internal policies and applicable laws.
- Manage end-to-end payroll tasks for assigned groups, including resolving complex employee queries.
- Assist fellow team members with their payroll duties, promoting a cooperative team atmosphere.
- Explain intricate payroll procedures and issues in clear terms to both team and other staff.
- Proactively identify improvements to payroll accuracy and workflows.
- Provide essential data and reports to key business stakeholders and departments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience using Dayforce payroll software.
- Proven ability to train colleagues on new systems and processes.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing payroll process enhancements.
- Professional accreditation such as CIPP or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Republic of Ireland (ROI) payroll legislation.
