About the Role

Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand, a company with over 185 stores and 20,000 team members, as an Availability Operations Specialist in Hamilton, Waikato. As part of our team, you will manage and maintain process workflows for your assigned area to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned operational workstream, maintaining process flows and guaranteeing uninterrupted completion following established procedures.
• Collaborate closely with your Team Leader and team members to enhance efficiency through 'swarming' tactics.
• Perform operational routines with accuracy and timeliness, including handling inbound goods, confirming price accuracy, conducting inventory tasks, and managing stocktakes.
• Provide leadership within your function by guiding and coaching new and existing team members, serving as an on-the-job trainer.
• Advocate for workplace safety by adhering to guidelines, reporting hazards, and promoting well-being.
• Promptly escalate process-related issues for resolution and act as Store Manager during scheduled shifts when required.
• Engage actively in team initiatives such as 'Better Together' sessions to improve collaboration and communication.

Working Hours and Schedule

• Roster includes shifts mainly covering early mornings to mid-afternoons on several days, including Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and Tuesdays from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Availability to work at least four weekend shifts per month and at least one evening shift per week is required.
