Job description
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for overseeing all sales operations in North America within their designated territory. Their primary mission is to expand profitable sales and service activities related to fluids and equipment. This role acts as the chief metalworking fluids sales expert, collaborating closely with Master Fluid’s distributors, District Sales Managers, service engineers, and customers. It involves providing technical sales support and partnering with local distributors and District Sales Managers to devise business plans, perform marketing analyses, and drive revenue growth.
Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager develops strategic plans, offers technical assistance, conducts business climate assessments, and handles staff management reporting and analysis. Leadership and development of District Sales Managers are key responsibilities to ensure they achieve the company’s targets for sales, operating income, and gross margin.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related disciplines.
- Have 7-10 years of combined sales and management experience, preferably in technical or metalworking sectors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with distributors, customers, and internal personnel at all organizational levels.
- A thorough understanding of sales processes is essential.
- Availability for overnight travel as required.
