Deli Associate

About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a Deli Associate and gain valuable experience in the retail sector. This position involves delivering outstanding customer service while upholding the core values of Walmart. The role includes maintaining and organizing the deli section, stock replenishment, and assisting with sales transactions.

Key Duties

• Organize and zone the deli department to ensure optimal product presentation.
• Manage stock rotation and regularly inspect products for expiration dates.
• Ensure all merchandise is accurately priced and properly labeled.
• Follow strict guidelines regarding cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, and proper food handling procedures.
• Process customer orders for deli items including slicing and preparing meats, cheeses, fried chicken, and other deli merchandise.
• Assist front-end staff with price verifications as needed.
• Prepare a variety of deli food orders using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers, as well as assemble salads and side dishes for display and special customer requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring it is free from debris and hazards.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage for this position starts at $15.80 CAD.
