About the Role
This role serves as an entry point into a rewarding leadership career within Woolworths Group, specifically focused on the Fruit and Vegetable department. As an Assistant Department Manager, you will gain essential skills in leadership and day-to-day department operations, supported by the Store Leadership Pathway. Your contribution will be pivotal in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and a collaborative, comfortable workplace for the team.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Create an engaging, inclusive store environment that encourages authentic teamwork and customer satisfaction.
- Learn and apply leadership skills to support the department team effectively daily.
- Collaborate across the store to uphold high standards of service and operational efficiency.
- Prioritize safety by enforcing proper procedures for both team members and customers.
- Adopt a customer-first attitude using the Everyday ACTs approach: Acknowledge, Care, and Thank customers.
- Develop your leadership style with an emphasis on growth and future advancement opportunities.
Work Schedule
The working hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a flexible 4-day workweek option to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life.
