About the Role

We welcome expressions of interest from Mechanical Engineers passionate about water infrastructure to join our New Zealand Pacific Water team. Leverage our extensive global expertise and network to deliver sustainable water solutions that harmonize with nature and support communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and develop innovative solutions tackling complex water infrastructure problems tailored to client needs.
- Design advanced mechanical systems within water, wastewater, stormwater treatment, and pump station projects, applying strong hydraulic principles and integrating effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
- Ensure strict compliance with New Zealand Codes and Standards while staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in the water sector.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal means, presenting technical ideas clearly and collaborating with diverse teams and clients to drive project success.
- Utilize expertise in CAD and modeling software such as Inventor and AutoCAD to guide accurate and innovative mechanical system designs.
- Apply lateral and pragmatic thinking to devise effective project solutions that creatively address challenges.
- Identify potential technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure projects are both successful and sustainable.
- Contribute actively within a collaborative team setting, fostering innovation and impactful outcomes.
- Maintain strong, client-focused relationships to understand requirements and align engineering solutions with their objectives.
Work Location
This opportunity is available nationwide across all company New Zealand offices including Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga, and Wellington.
