Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough briefings and debriefings for driving teams to communicate essential information and gather feedback.
- Prepare store delivery bags and keep store instructions updated.
- Coordinate with various departments and support units to ensure smooth transport operations.
- Verify that vehicles and trailers are roadworthy by adhering to site defect procedures.
- Act as the primary contact for drivers regarding delivery questions, breakdowns, or emergencies.
- Liaise with maintenance and recovery services to manage vehicle breakdowns.
- Communicate with stores about schedule disruptions, delays, or failures.
- Support other transport functions and provide holiday or absence coverage as needed.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 12 months experience as an administrator or operator in a transport setting is essential.
- Familiarity with Telematics and Transport Management Systems is beneficial.
- Flexible to undertake varied tasks within the transport operation as directed by management.
- Detail-oriented with a calm and confident approach to handling transport-related challenges.
- Excellent attendance and time management record.
- Both teamwork and independent work capabilities.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards, promoting a safe work environment.

Additional Information
Working hours are 40 per week on a 4 x 10-hour shift pattern, operating 4 days on and 3 days off, scheduled between 6am–4pm or 10am–8pm including weekends and bank holidays. This position is a fixed-term contract lasting until 31 December 2026.
Salary offered: £32,270 per annum.
