Role Overview

We are looking for Medical Coders and Senior Medical Coders based in Bengaluru who will review patient records and accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes to facilitate billing to insurance and third-party payers. The candidate must have a solid grasp of medical terminology, AMA guidelines, anatomy, physiology, and the application of CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS, and specialty codes based on clinical documentation. Linking diagnosis codes to procedure codes and sequencing them correctly to ensure optimal reimbursement is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify the healthcare provider and enter accurate information into the system considering specific coding requirements across payers, clients, and regional programs.
• Verify that the number of charts in a batch matches the total received from clients.
• Maintain daily and monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Perform quality control checks on coding completed by other associates.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience in medical coding.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Strong claims management or customer service background is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver high productivity and quality with meticulous accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client representation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate computer systems effectively.
• Strong multitasking capabilities with resourcefulness and independent work ethic.
