Role Overview

The position involves meticulously reviewing patient medical documentation to accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes (CPT, ICD-9 CM, HCPCS) for billing purposes to insurance providers and patients. Responsibilities require a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, AMA guidelines, and coding practices to ensure precise reimbursement sequencing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records to assign proper diagnostic and procedural codes to facilitate accurate billing.
• Use knowledge of medical terminology and guidelines to code charts accurately.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• At least 1–3 years of relevant medical coding experience.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to represent client interests.
