Role Overview
Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a L2/L3 Support Administrator to handle enterprise monitoring and observability operations. The role is based in Chennai or Gandhinagar and requires 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of day-to-day operations for the enterprise monitoring and observability platform set.
- Carry out installation, removal, and upgrade activities for agents across physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments.
- Check that data gathered from all connected infrastructure components is accurate and complete.
- Set up and maintain alert rules, including conditions, adaptive thresholds, and suppression/muting controls.
- Build and sustain integrations between monitoring tools and ServiceNow through APIs and webhooks.
- Ensure the platform follows required compliance, governance, risk, and operational standards.
- Automate reporting, maintain customized dashboards such as Grafana, update inventory records, and keep the tool tower audit-ready.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs, and support audit activities.
- Administer and support observability platforms, especially Datadog and Splunk.
- Continue support for existing monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, and Zabbix during transition and steady-state operations.
- Create and refine dashboards and reporting metrics in Grafana.
- Configure PagerDuty for major incident alert routing and notification handling.
- Work on enterprise discovery and CMDB-related activities.
- Contribute to AIOps and backend automation efforts.
- Handle tool configuration and upgrade tasks.
- Follow ITIL-based operational practices.
- Use automation and scripting where needed.
- Support security and compliance requirements.
