Role Overview

The International Field Service Representative (IFSR) will collaborate closely with Silvus' international teams to provide customized solutions and support for specialized multi-antenna MIMO radios and mesh network technology. This position is fully remote but requires residency in the UAE, reporting to the Senior Sales Engineer. The role involves pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, product demonstrations, customer training, and providing feedback to engineering for product improvements. Extensive travel up to 75% is expected to support on-site customer engagements and field troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities

Deliver technical support including system planning, optimization, and customer training, before and after sales.
Gain deep expertise in Silvus’ radio and networking technologies and their competitive advantages.
Conduct product demonstrations during customer visits and equipment evaluations.
Provide technical support and training at customer locations.
Identify and resolve radio system failures or anomalies in the field environment.
Collect data on field issues and relay insights to development teams for troubleshooting and product enhancement assistance.
Collaborate directly with Design Engineers to reproduce and resolve technical problems.
Travel frequently, up to 75%, including potential deployment to conflict zones as part of radio support.

Required Qualifications

Secondary education completion (equivalent to high school diploma or GED) is mandatory.
Previous experience as a Field Service Representative or in a similar technical support role.
Background supporting defense communications focusing on radios and data networks.
Proficient understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking fundamentals.
Basic English language proficiency for reading and writing.
Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Must reside within the UAE to qualify for remote work.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to potentially unstable regions.
Employment contingent upon successful background investigation clearance.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

Experience using radio frequency testing equipment such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
Hands-on experience with IP radios or modems is highly advantageous.
Understanding of wireless communications, RF propagation, and digital comms technologies.
Programming knowledge in C or C++.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
Military background is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Participation in trade shows and outdoor demonstrations.
Exposure to environmental elements such as heat, cold, and allergens during fieldwork.
Physical capability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs needed for setup during demonstrations and testing.

Travel requirements range from 50% to 75% of the time.
