Transport Supervisor / Fleet Supervisor

Role Overview

The Transport Supervisor / Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for managing the company's fleet of vans, full truck loads (FTL), and commercial vehicles. This role involves overseeing maintenance, servicing, and daily operations of the vehicles, as well as managing transport vendors and driver-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and track all company vehicles including vans, FTL, and commercial types, ensuring regular maintenance and handling breakdowns promptly.
• Source, negotiate rates with, and manage transport vendors and fleet owners to fulfill vehicle requirements effectively.
• Arrange replacement vehicles on an adhoc, monthly, or emergency basis as needed from the market.
• Manage the entire vehicle sourcing process for new customer requests — from negotiation to deployment through to successful completion.
• Administer driver management tasks such as hiring, replacement, attendance monitoring, salary processing, performance evaluation, and documentation maintenance.
• Handle all necessary vehicle documentation including registration certificates (RC), insurance, permits, fitness certificates, road tax, RTO compliance, challans, and renewals.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure vehicles are placed on time and operations proceed smoothly.
• Maintain an updated and reliable database of vans, FTL vehicles, transporters, and drivers.
• Conduct field visits for vendor development, vehicle sourcing, driver recruitment, and transport-related RTO activities.
• Take full ownership and independently resolve any operational challenges arising in transport logistics.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly salary in the range of INR 20,000 to INR 22,000.
