Job description

Overview

This position requires proficiency in English and mandates physical presence at the Fort St John location. Candidates must hold a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have between 1 and 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff including apprentices, stage hands, and the design team.
  • Delegate duties to sales personnel ensuring efficient task management.
  • Hire new employees and facilitate or arrange their training programs.
  • Authorize cheque payments and the return of merchandise.
  • Maintain and organize inventory; order merchandise and supplies accordingly.
  • Set and supervise employees’ work schedules.
  • Promote and sell merchandise, including pricing items following the price list using stamps or stickers.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports covering sales volume, product merchandising, and personnel issues.
  • Address customer inquiries, manage complaints, and resolve supply shortages effectively.
  • Monitor and supervise day-to-day business operations, including special promotions and publicity events.
  • Process payments including cash, cheque, credit card, and automatic debit transactions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks and ensure equipment inventory is up to date.
  • Manage financial matters such as balancing cash, depositing funds, and maintaining daily log books.
  • Reconcile inventory counts between physical stock and computer records.

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with inventory control software is required.

Additional Information

  • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this role.
