Job description
About the Role
This position requires availability on Sundays from 10:00 to 20:00, Fridays from 14:00 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 12:00 to 20:00. Scheduled shifts will be within these time windows, and shift schedules will be communicated three weeks in advance. Flexibility is considered, so if your availability is close but not exact, applications are still welcomed.
Starting pay is £13.28 per hour, with locations inside the M25 paying £14.55 per hour. Additional location-based allowances may apply. Tesco ensures a minimum guaranteed working time of 16 hours weekly, with part-time opportunities available down to 12 hours as well.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service with enthusiasm and pride, ensuring all shoppers feel valued.
- Possess strong knowledge of the store's products and services to assist customers effectively.
- Perform duties throughout the store, including service, order picking, and stock replenishment as necessary.
- Apply health and safety training in daily operations to guarantee safe and efficient store practices.
- Make informed decisions to meet customer needs and enhance the shopping experience.
- Participate in seasonal, community, and charitable events to foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Stay informed about store performance metrics and contribute to driving sales, minimizing waste, and ensuring profitability.
- Handle products carefully to maintain quality standards and ensure best condition upon delivery to customers.
- Uphold store values by being authentic, inclusive, and following policies consistently.
- Occasionally assist with receiving and checking store deliveries.
