Position Summary
This role focuses on accelerating pharmacy growth by expanding presence in the local catchment, forming useful partnerships, rolling out neighborhood marketing activities, and creating more opportunities for walk-ins, prescription referrals, and stronger brand recall.
Business Development and Catchment Growth
- Regularly visit pharmacies that are key to the business or not performing well to spot gaps and put practical improvement plans in place.
- Review the catchment area on an ongoing basis and refresh it with new opportunities for expansion and collaboration.
- Deliver at least 5 clinic tie-ups each month to help drive prescription traffic and customer visits.
- Partner with nearby businesses such as laundries, grocery outlets, supermarkets, and similar neighborhood stores to raise visibility and generate referrals.
- Visit residential buildings in the assigned area to introduce the pharmacy’s products and services.
- Where needed, secure approvals from building management before carrying out promotional activity.
Marketing and Promotional Activity
- Make sure marketing collateral is available, positioned correctly, and used effectively, including roll-up stands, flyers, door hangers, home-delivery acrylic stands, and business cards.
- Run at least 4 health check-up campaigns every month in the assigned territory.
- Arrange and execute a minimum of 2 gym or wellness events per month to build health awareness and promote the pharmacy.
- Follow all company branding rules and promotional standards for every activity.
Relationship Management
- Maintain productive working relationships with clinics and healthcare providers.
- Develop strong connections with gyms and fitness centers.
- Engage residential communities and community groups in the catchment area.
- Build trust with local business partners and other relevant stakeholders.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
- Track and update market information such as newly opened clinics and healthcare providers, competitor offers, pricing, and activities.
- Monitor local market changes and identify fresh business opportunities in the territory.
- Prepare and share regular reports for the Store Manager and management covering catchment updates, promotional work, partnerships, and field observations.
- Measure campaign performance and promotional impact, then suggest improvements and new ideas based on findings and market feedback.
Performance Expectations
- At least 5 clinic tie-ups per month.
- At least 4 health check-up campaigns per month.
- At least 2 gym or wellness events per month.
- Timely submission of catchment and market intelligence reports.
- Growth in customer footfall, prescription referrals, and community engagement within the assigned area.
- Full compliance with company branding and marketing standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in marketing, business development, or pharmacy/healthcare marketing is considered beneficial.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities are required.
- Good planning, organization, and presentation skills are important for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently while handling several field activities at the same time.
- A valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
