About the Role
Join Hawthorne Residential Partners as a Maintenance Technician III, where you will be instrumental in maintaining well-kept, welcoming apartment communities. This position emphasizes growth through skill enhancement, trade knowledge, and career advancement in a supportive and motivating team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex maintenance work orders, ensuring timely and professional repair and upkeep.
- Lead and mentor junior maintenance staff, fostering skill development and team effectiveness.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as per company guidelines.
- Maintain vacant apartments to move-in ready status following standards.
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleanliness.
- Perform daily upkeep for buildings and common areas, including grounds maintenance.
- Organize and maintain the maintenance shop for efficient supply management.
- Promote positive community relations through professionalism and courteous interactions with residents, coworkers, and vendors.
- Participate in scheduled on-call emergency services and support resident events as required.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety policies.
- Complete special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: At least 3 years in apartment maintenance or trades such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work; supervisory or lead technician experience highly preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license, EPA/HVAC certification, and CPO certification.
Work Schedule
The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a required on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional event assistance.
