Role Summary
PROTEC is urgently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its Chhapra facility in Rajkot. The role involves sustaining the operation and performance of various manufacturing machinery, including grinding and CNC machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, including Clean, Lubricate, Inspect & Tighten (CLIT) procedures and leak testing.
- Diagnose mechanical faults promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
- Oversee maintenance of Centreless Grinding Machines, CNC Grinding Machines, Header Machines, Heat Treatment Furnaces, and utility equipment.
- Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules, machine safety protocols, and maintain proper housekeeping standards.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and contribute to ongoing enhancement projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Educational background: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional experience: 2 to 5 years, preferably with exposure to grinding or CNC machine maintenance.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in mechanical maintenance of CNC and grinding machines.
- Proficiency in maintaining Centreless Grinding Machines.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, and lubrication systems.
