Director of Program Management and Continuous Improvement

Overview

The Director of Program Management & Continuous Improvement leads TaylorMade Golf Company's Global Programs function, driving operational enhancements across worldwide operations. This role involves establishing a unified framework for managing global initiatives, supervising a group of Program Managers and Continuous Improvement Analysts, and collaborating closely with regional leaders to align projects with shifting business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the prioritization and maintenance of the global project portfolio managed by the Project & Program Management team.
• Ensure cost control, scheduling adherence, and performance metrics for company-wide programs and their major components.
• Administer the budget for continuous improvement projects, distributing resources effectively.
• Continuously enhance TaylorMade's global Strategy Deployment process and organizational structure.
• Manage the global Knowledge Transfer Center focused on Strategy Deployment and Initiative Management activities.
• Implement the global Program Management strategy by breaking down regional silos, scaling best practices, and developing associated procedures, tools, and systems.
• Lead the Executive Program Management Steering Committee to formalize executive involvement and prioritize initiatives.
• Create and maintain a dynamic roadmap of projects supporting regional strategic objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically dispersed team with both direct and indirect reports.
• Engage stakeholders to define project scope, benefits, budgets, resource needs, and timelines.
• Provide regular project status updates to sponsors and stakeholders, proactively identifying issues and mitigation plans.
• Develop global standardized workflows and templates for formal project management processes.
• Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness and organizational impact.
• Oversee reporting infrastructure and analytics standards supporting program KPIs and broader operational functions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to comprehend processes, identify challenges, and drive improvement solutions.
• Lead change management strategies and execution for major system and process integrations like ERP, WMS, and OMS.
• Coordinate governance among implementation vendors and partners engaged in complex cross-functional programs.
• Manage annual skill-building initiatives, including Green Belt training, coaching, and facilitation.
• Promote a culture centered on lean principles and data-driven continuous improvement.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Expertise in project scoping, including analyzing benefits, resources, expenses, and timelines.
• Ability to lead implementations outside direct responsibilities and guide non-technical stakeholders towards technical resolutions.
• Strong financial acumen, organizational aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Advanced capabilities in resource management, analytics, and decision-making.
• Proficient problem-solving skills applicable across varied business functions.
• Skilled user of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Experience in motivating teams and delivering constructive feedback fostering positive results.
• Background in implementing or supporting ERP/WMS systems, with Infor experience advantageous.
• Familiarity with Business Objects or Domo is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• At least 12 years' experience in program management overseeing complex, large-scale projects.
• A minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
• Extensive experience with cross-functional team facilitation.
• Proficient in project management software; ClickUp preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Lean are highly desirable.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Frequent travel required (approximately 25%), mostly within the United States and occasional international trips.
• Typical office and production floor environments encountered.
• Potential exposure to fumes, solvents, dust, dirt, and noise conditions.
• May need to adapt to varying temperature conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities like bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods.

Compensation and Additional Information

TaylorMade offers a competitive total rewards package designed to support high performance. The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $210,000 annually.
