Noon Minutes, our rapid hyper-local delivery platform available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, provides a broad selection of FMCG and grocery products with deliveries within 15 minutes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead automation initiatives from concept through to live operation including design, build, commissioning, hyper care, and steady state for Noon Minutes.
Manage project timelines, budgets, risk assessments, milestones, and vendor relationships to ensure goals are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT/WMS, Finance, Procurement, Safety, and Site teams to align efforts.
Drive organizational change involving SOP creation, training, staffing models, process redesign, and cutover plans for darkstores and warehouses.
Develop and implement maintenance frameworks covering contracts, spare parts strategies, escalation procedures, and 24/7 support where necessary.
Negotiate service level agreements, warranty terms, penalty clauses, payments linked to milestones, spare commitments, and upgrade schedules with vendors.
Ensure comprehensive documentation is in place, including testing protocols, drawings, SOPs, training materials, and handover checklists.
Convert operational requirements into detailed specifications covering throughput, SKU profiles, tote usage, peak demand, replenishment, station sizing, and constraints.
Create sizing models and validate vendor assumptions about bottlenecks, concurrency, capacity, and buffering.
Facilitate integration readiness for Warehouse Management and Control Systems, focusing on exception handling and control stability.
Design and pilot innovative storage and layout solutions to enhance density and picking speed, including dynamic slotting, modular racking, tote/bin systems, mezzanines, compact staging buffers, and temperature-zone optimized layouts.
Develop scalable design templates for various storage environments considering space, replenishment frequency, and product segmentation.
Lead layout optimization for new facility launches and retrofits.

Requirements

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in warehouse or darkstore operations along with automation program management within sectors like e-commerce, grocery, 3PL, retail, or manufacturing.
Practical knowledge of automation technologies such as ASRS/G2P, sortation systems, conveyors, AMRs/AGVs, pallet and packing automation.
Comprehensive understanding of operational workflows including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, sorting, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory control.
Strong project management skills with expertise in scope control, risk management, vendor oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
Analytical capabilities in throughput modeling, capacity planning, KPI development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

Possess a high level of accountability and readiness to address operational challenges onsite.
Excellent communication skills facilitating collaboration between business and technical teams.
Ability to approach problems methodically, critically evaluate vendor claims, and translate complex scenarios into actionable plans.
Innovative mindset with eagerness for experimentation in storage and layout design.
Certifications such as PMP or Prince2 and knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience working in temperature-controlled environments, including chilled and frozen storage.
Experience in establishing maintenance frameworks involving spares management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and uptime contracts.
