Role overview
Wipro is hiring a Data Engineer with hands-on Splunk expertise for its Dubai, United Arab Emirates location. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on managing and optimizing Splunk environments for data engineering and analytics use cases.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Splunk platforms with a strong focus on indexing and improving search performance.
- Handle data ingestion and onboarding, including normalization and alignment with the Common Information Model (CIM).
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts inside Splunk.
- Support Splunk architecture tasks such as clustering and scale planning using best practices.
- Investigate and resolve performance-related issues across the Splunk environment.
- Use scripting and automation to streamline operational tasks.
- Work in accordance with relevant security and compliance expectations for data engineering and analytics.
Required skills and expertise
- Deep working knowledge of Splunk administration.
- Experience with indexing strategies and search optimization.
- Capability in data onboarding, data normalization, and CIM compliance.
- Ability to build dashboards, reports, and alerts in Splunk.
- Understanding of Splunk clustering, scaling, and architecture fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills.
- Automation scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Awareness of security and compliance standards relevant to analytics platforms.
Preferred certifications
The role prefers candidates holding either the Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or Splunk Core Certified Architect credential.
