Overview
Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to build your retail skills while delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves maintaining the bakery section, assisting with stocking merchandise, and ensuring compliance with company standards and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily business operations.
- Ensure all merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced.
- Comply with standards related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, and cleaning protocols.
- Execute proper ordering, clearance procedures, markdowns, and accurate labeling.
- Prepare bakery products according to specific thawing and baking guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.
- Secure all product displays safely and appropriately.
Compensation
The minimum hourly wage for this position is $18.30.

- Must be at least 16 years old.
