Role Overview
The Room Attendant is tasked with maintaining pristine cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and corridor areas, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain guest rooms and corridors in immaculate condition following the property's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure smooth operations within the Housekeeping department while adhering to ethical standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Supervisor to report any issues or abnormalities.
- Complete all assigned room cleaning tasks within the shift.
- Vacuum corridor carpets daily after room cleaning.
- Keep cleaning trolley stocked and tidy.
- Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks within the prescribed timeframe.
- Respect guest privacy at all times.
- Deliver guest experiences that meet brand SOP, local SOP, and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.
- Uphold a flawless presentation of the hotel's products, services, and team colleagues.
- Observe and anticipate guest needs discreetly, providing prompt, efficient, and personalized assistance.
- Report guest preferences to management for follow-up and profile recording.
- Comply with Work Safety and Health policies and maintain clean, organized work areas throughout shifts.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and functions properly.
- Manage workflow efficiently to accomplish all duties before shift end.
- Adapt positively to operational changes and collaborate with the housekeeping team.
- Recognize guest hierarchy and room category differences.
- Participate actively in meetings and other department activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Primary School education minimum.
- Basic proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Prior experience with cleaning duties; handling machinery is advantageous but not mandatory.
