Full Time Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

Cabot Cape Breton is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at their Inverness, Nova Scotia location. This full-time, non-seasonal role requires at least 30 work hours weekly and involves managing housekeeping activities across guest rooms and common areas with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily housekeeping tasks throughout the property, including rooms, villas, lodges, and common spaces, ensuring timely completion.
• Perform regular walkthroughs and quality inspections to verify readiness of rooms in line with company standards before guests' arrival.
• Provide hands-on assistance with cleaning tasks when necessary to support operational needs.
• Direct and coordinate housekeeping attendants, assign daily duties based on occupancy and staffing, and monitor attendance and performance.
• Train new and current employees on effective cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety measures.
• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and encourage a secure, respectful work environment.
• Collaborate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Management to coordinate room availability and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage inventory control for linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment, placing replenishment requests as needed.
• Address guest feedback regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally to uphold guest satisfaction.
• Maintain essential records including room inspections, staff schedules, and supply consumption.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in housekeeping, cleaning services, or a related operational role.
• Willingness to complete a criminal background check as required for employment.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Hourly wage of C$21.50.
