Job description
Role Overview
KidStrong Knoxville is seeking energetic youth coaches who enjoy fitness, teaching classes, and working directly with children and families. The current need is for coaches available on Monday and Wednesday mornings, with the possibility of adding more days later. While additional hours may become available, immediate hiring is focused on candidates who can work this schedule.

KidStrong is a private training environment designed to help parents raise stronger, smarter, and more athletic children. The program supports brain, physical, and character development for kids from walking age through 11 years old. Its curriculum is science-based, parent-centered, and delivered by trained coaches and instructors. The organization is growing quickly and is looking for enthusiastic professionals who want to make a positive difference in children’s lives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging classes for children in the KidStrong age range.
- Work with parents and explain the child development approach used in the curriculum.
- Support a positive, high-energy environment during training sessions.
- Contribute to other programs such as camps, parents’ night out events, field trips, and similar activities.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
This is an in-person part-time role based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Classes may take place on weekdays in the mid-morning or evening, and weekend sessions may begin around 8:00 AM and continue until lunch. Available shift options include 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, and the schedule may include weekdays or weekends. Candidates should be able to reliably commute to Knoxville, TN 37919 or plan to relocate before starting.

Pay is offered at $15.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications
- Background in fitness or coaching, preferably with experience teaching children in the KidStrong age range.
- Experience speaking with parents and explaining child development concepts is preferred.
- Working knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a positive and motivating style.
- Self-directed attitude and the ability to complete tasks independently.
- Experience coaching children ages 12 months to 8 years old, or pediatric OT/PT experience, is especially relevant.
