Role Overview
The Behavioral Health Counselor will be responsible for delivering, organizing, and overseeing various direct care services within emergency group home environments. This includes implementing therapeutic activities, clinical interventions, and treatment plans in residential and group home settings following the established model. Additionally, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly residential facility for clients is critical to the position.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma (mandatory).
- Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant human services field.
- Ideally have four years of experience in the mental health sector.
- Demonstrate capability to solve practical problems and handle diverse concrete variables when faced with limited guidelines.
- Skilled at interpreting instructions presented in various forms including written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedules.
