About Kilsaran and Role Overview
Kilsaran's Concrete Products and Aggregates division is a thriving and profitable segment that supports Irish customers with high-quality construction materials essential for major infrastructure projects including commercial buildings, agricultural and domestic structures, office developments, and road networks nationwide.
As a Yard Person, you will handle various tasks including operating heavy machinery, maintaining yard cleanliness, and serving as backup for loading shovel operations, shipment handling, and concrete batching activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the yard area is consistently clean and well-organized.
- Act as cover for loading shovel operators when needed.
- Provide support for shipping and batching processes as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
- Lead by example in adhering strictly to health and safety policies and procedures; report hazards and incidents promptly; maintain a focus on safe work practices at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with machinery operation is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks.
