WSHO Safety Officer

Job Overview

Libiao Robotics is seeking a dedicated WSHO Safety Officer to remotely manage safety for projects in Singapore. This role involves ensuring compliance with local safety regulations, conducting inspections, managing high-risk activities, and leading safety training and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety inspections on project sites, identify hazards, and ensure prompt corrective actions are completed for Singapore-based projects.
• Oversee high-risk operations such as working at heights, temporary electrical tasks, lifting, and equipment commissioning; authorize work permits, lead safety briefings, and halt unsafe activities.
• Ensure adherence to Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations and bizSAFE standards; prepare risk assessments, safety plans, and emergency documentation.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions and emergency drills; enforce standard use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across sites.
• Lead incident investigations, implement corrective measures, and assist with governmental and client safety audits and approvals.
• Conduct daily inspections of fire and safety equipment to guarantee full site compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• A diploma or higher qualification in engineering or a safety-related discipline; MOM-registered WSHO certification is highly desirable.
• At least two years of occupational health and safety experience within Singapore, preferably with exposure to MEP, automation, or warehouse projects.
• In-depth understanding of Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act and bizSAFE framework; capable of managing site safety and conducting formal inspections.
• Basic proficiency in reading and writing English safety documents; fluent communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Responsible and decisive with the ability to manage safety remotely while responding to on-site emergencies; willing to be temporarily present on-site and work overtime as needed by project demands.
