About the Role
The Safety & Health Department is dedicated to ensuring a secure and health-conscious environment for employees, clients, and contractors. The primary duties of this position include leading workplace safety initiatives, conducting audits and training related to Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), staying updated on best WSH practices, executing the responsibilities of a Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (RSO), and ensuring adherence to corporate and legal safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Workplace Safety & Health programs and initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive Workplace Safety & Health audits and deliver related training sessions.
- Remain informed about the latest and most effective WSH standards and encourage their adoption at the workplace.
- Fulfill the statutory duties as a Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer.
- Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable Workplace Safety & Health laws and regulations.
Requirements
- A university degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Environmental Science, Health, or Safety disciplines.
- Strong interest in or knowledge of data analytics is desirable.
- Experience in occupational safety, health, environmental matters, OSH/ISO documentation, and familiarity with government regulations related to workplace safety is preferred.
- Candidates registered as MOM Workplace Safety & Health Officers or holding certifications in Industrial Hygiene are given additional consideration.
