Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is accountable for directing daily operations, business execution, organizational efficiency, and strategy implementation. Reporting to the CEO, the COO plays a crucial role in strategic planning, decision-making, and organizational growth to translate corporate goals into effective operational actions. The position coordinates resources across departments to support business growth, process improvements, cost control, and capability development, ensuring sustainable business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, including medium- and long-term plans and annual business objectives, aligned with the CEO and Board’s goals.
  • Create and maintain operational execution roadmaps and oversee strategy implementation to achieve business targets.
  • Design and refine operational management systems, processes, policies, and standards to foster operational excellence and scalable growth.
  • Lead daily operational management, tracking KPIs, OKRs, revenue, costs, profits, and quality to drive continuous improvements and growth.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Marketing, Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to optimize resource allocation and resolve operational challenges.
  • Oversee strategic projects and business transformations, managing budgets, risks, and deliverables to support digital transformation and process upgrades.
  • Continuously enhance operational processes using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to reduce costs and improve resource efficiency.
  • Champion digitalization initiatives such as ERP, CRM, supply chain management, and data analytics to transition toward intelligent operations.
  • Establish risk management frameworks and corporate governance to ensure regulatory compliance and business continuity.
  • Build and develop a high-performing operations leadership team, fostering a culture of performance, customer focus, and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Management, or related fields.
  • Advanced degrees such as MBA, EMBA, or master’s in senior management disciplines are preferred.
  • More than 20 years of experience in corporate operations or general management, including 8 to 15 years in senior leadership roles such as VP of Operations or General Manager in large-scale or multinational organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in strategy execution, organizational transformation, process optimization, and managing extensive operational functions.
