About the role
This position is for an experienced earthworks and road construction specialist to join projects in Germany. Work locations mentioned include Fehmarn, Bremen, Magdeburg, and Kiel. Compensation and benefits
- Expected net monthly earnings are between €2,700 and €3,000, depending on the length of the month and the number of days worked; the average is about €2,850 net for a 21-day month with 8 working hours per day.
- Base pay is €14.00 gross per hour, plus a €28 daily allowance for each day worked of at least 8 hours, along with mileage reimbursement.
- Weekly advances of €200 are provided, with the first advance available after the first completed work week.
- Salary is paid on the 15th day of each month.
- The role comes with a German employment agreement, full health coverage, and social insurance.
- Accommodation is fully furnished and arranged for the employee.
- Support is available from the employer's office in Poland if issues arise during the assignment.
- Travel reimbursement is included: from Poland to Germany at €0.30 per km up to €200 once per month when a full month is worked, and from accommodation to the work site at €0.30 per km up to €20 per day.
Key duties
- Carry out construction and renovation work on roads, sidewalks, and road infrastructure.
- Perform earthworks and water/sewer installation tasks.
- Prepare and level ground for asphalt surfaces and paving stone installations.
- Install paving blocks, curbs, and edging elements.
- Handle sub-base work and surface preparation activities.
- Use basic construction tools and equipment.
- Work closely with the crew on ongoing road and paving assignments.
- Keep the construction site tidy and follow health and safety rules.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as an earthworks or roadworks laborer.
- Ability to communicate in German or English.
- Own car is required for commuting to the job site.
- Own work clothes and basic tools are necessary.
