About the Role
The Work Order Coordinator plays a key role in organizing technical design, engineering, and manufacturing information into actionable work orders. The position demands ensuring that each work order package is precisely detailed and sequenced to meet project deadlines, company standards, and classification society regulations.

Multiple Work Order Coordinator positions are open focusing on:

Key Responsibilities
- Create and distribute comprehensive work orders supporting production workflows, defined by scope, sequencing, labor hours, and bill of materials.
- Ensure compliance of work orders with yard quality standards, classification mandates, and engineering guidelines.
- Collaborate intensively with scheduling, engineering, and procurement teams to align work orders with project schedules and verify material availability.
- Administer changes to work orders prompted by engineering revisions, non-conformance reports, or change requests while maintaining version control and stakeholder communications.
- Document lessons learned, risks, and issues during production phases to contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.
- Regularly track and refresh planning data for precise reporting and future ship planning accuracy.
- Update drawings and documentation within work packages, ensuring proper issue control and timely stakeholder notification.
- Work cross-functionally to support project delivery while promoting process enhancements consistent with team goals.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, relevant design software, and ERP systems.
- Trade certification pertinent to the role.
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience using Primavera software.
- Formal training in planning and scheduling methodologies.
- At least five years’ experience in planning roles within shipbuilding, advanced manufacturing, or construction.
- Engineering qualifications such as Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Certificate IV.
- User familiarity with P6 project management software.
