About the Role
Montu UK seeks dedicated Women's Health Consultants to join our team on a permanent basis, providing expert care to women suffering from health conditions often overlooked or inadequately treated elsewhere. This role involves direct clinical work focused on assessing and managing patients considering medical cannabis for their treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care for women seeking pain management and symptom relief via medical cannabis therapy.
- Lead symptom management for various women's health issues including menstrual disorders, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), menopausal symptoms, fertility, reproductive health, pelvic pain, bone and joint health, sleep disturbances, mood and mental health concerns, and chronic pain conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient consultations encompassing assessment and ongoing treatment management.
- Participate actively in clinical outcome data collection to support evidence-based practices.
- Maintain high standards in clinical governance to ensure robust patient care.
- Collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary team of nurses and pharmacists.
- Engage in continuous training and professional growth, including specialist education in cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs).
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and MRCOG qualification.
- Completed specialist training (CCST/CCT) or its equivalent, preferably listed on the GMC Specialist Register.
- Possession of or progression towards a pain management qualification.
- Demonstrated genuine interest in medical cannabis therapy.
- Willingness to engage in systematic data collection and reporting.
