Warranty Lead

Role Overview

MACA is looking for a Warranty Lead to become part of its Plant Operations function on a permanent full-time arrangement. The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule and is based in Welshpool, Western Australia.

Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, this position oversees warranty claim handling and core return workflows for the company’s mobile and fixed plant fleet. The purpose of the role is to make sure eligible warranty recoveries, supplier credits, and core reimbursements are identified, tracked, and processed without delay, supporting operational efficiency and cost control.

Key Duties

• Take ownership of warranty claims and core return administration for components used across mobile and fixed plant.
• Arrange the return of warranty and core items to OEMs and suppliers within the required deadlines.
• Monitor core returns, supplier credits, and reimbursements so that all recoverable amounts are obtained.
• Keep detailed and accurate records covering warranty claims, core movements, and related financial recoveries.
• Work closely with warehouse, maintenance, procurement, and supplier contacts to ensure warranty and core transactions are completed on time.
• Match supplier credits and invoices connected with warranty and core returns.
• Look into variances involving warranty claims, core charges, and supplier credits, and help resolve them.
• Follow up on unresolved warranty and core claims with suppliers to speed up closure.
• Prepare routine reports on warranty recoveries, core credits, open claims, and financial outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement activities and contribute ideas that improve MACA’s ways of working.

What You’ll Need

• Prior experience in a warranty, parts, stores, maintenance planning, procurement, or asset management environment.
• Well-developed administration and organisation skills, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage several priorities at once.
• Good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with different stakeholders.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Pronto, JDE, SAP, or similar platforms is highly regarded.
• A mechanical trade background or experience with heavy mobile equipment is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially Excel.
• A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
