Job description

The role and project

In this position, you will supervise a crew of experienced tradespeople responsible for keeping heavy mobile equipment running effectively at site.

The work is tied to the Weld Range Project, which is owned by Fenix Resources and located in the Pilbara area of Western Australia’s Mid West, around 362 km north-east of Geraldton. The project covers the Iron Ridge mine, with Beebyn-W11 acting as an extension designed to support growth in total output toward 6 Mtpa.

The equipment on this project includes Komatsu PC1250 and Liebherr 9200 excavators, Komatsu HD785-7 haul trucks, CAT ancillary equipment, a D9 dozer, a 16H grader, and a Komatsu HD785 water cart.

What you will do

  • Lead a team in a mobile plant maintenance environment on an operating mine site.
  • Bring a constructive leadership approach, strong time management, and the flexibility to shift priorities while guiding and supporting the maintenance team.
  • Oversee performance, servicing schedules, repairs, and preventive maintenance for heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Make sure health, safety, and work procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensure tradespeople complete all documentation accurately and to a high standard.
  • Take initiative in the workplace to help ensure work is completed to a strong quality standard.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders such as supervisors, superintendents, and tradespeople.
