Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator for the afternoon shift (2:00pm to 10:30pm) to manage Finished Goods Export operations in a dynamic manufacturing and distribution setting. The position demands hands-on involvement, with a focus on precision, urgency, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Duties
- Accurately picking and dispatching customer orders in an efficient manner
- Utilising RF scanning devices and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) routinely
- Carrying out replenishment and put-away activities
- Performing cycle counting and inventory verification tasks
- Operating forklifts including Reach Truck, Counterbalance, and Stock Picker hoists
- Handling manual lifting of products up to 25 kilograms safely
- Ensuring neat housekeeping and compliance with warehouse safety regulations
- Meeting daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational deadlines
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of current New Zealand licenses for Reach Truck, Counterbalance, and Stock Picker operation
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse or distribution centre
- Daily experience with RF scanners and WMS software
- Strong knowledge of warehouse workflows, inventory accuracy, and dispatch processes
- Competent with numerical tasks and basic computer skills
- Effective English communication, both written and oral
- Dependable attendance and excellent time management skills
- Committed to safety and able to perform in a fast-paced team environment
