Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Newgen SME / Functional Consultant who will assist with business analysis, functional solution design and implementation for OmniDocs, iBPS and other related Newgen products.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with client stakeholders to understand current business workflows, requirements, and operational challenges.
- Convert business needs into functional specifications, workflow designs, process maps, and configuration requirements.
- Contribute to solution workshops, product demonstrations, user acceptance testing, training, go-live readiness, and post-launch support.
- Coordinate closely with technical consultants and project managers so the delivered solution aligns with business expectations.
- Serve as the main functional contact for customers throughout implementation engagements.
- Be prepared to travel to customer sites for workshops, UAT, and go-live assistance whenever needed.
Candidate profile
- Applicants should have 6 to 20 years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, SME, Functional Consultant, or comparable positions.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Newgen platforms such as OmniDocs and/or iBPS is required.
- Prior involvement in implementation or transformation initiatives is expected.
- Strong capability in eliciting requirements, mapping processes, preparing documentation, and managing stakeholders is necessary.
- The role requires comfort in working directly with business users and client-side teams.
- Candidates must be willing to travel to client locations, including international travel outside India when required.
Preferred background
- Exposure to banking, financial services, lending, document management, workflow automation, or case-management programs will be an advantage.
- Experience with BPM, ECM, digital onboarding, loan origination, or enterprise process automation solutions is also preferred.
