Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operations of the fire department shift team.
  • Form and lead the mobile fire brigade command during operations and collaborate in technical operational leadership.
  • Direct all personnel and equipment during emergencies.
  • Assist with resource management including personnel deployment planning.
  • Organize, conduct, and evaluate training exercises and emergency drills.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor training and continuing education programs in coordination with the training department.
  • Ensure the fire department’s continuous readiness in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Supervise the enforcement, documentation, and analysis of fire safety regulations and propose improvements to leadership.
  • Manage personnel administration including duty scheduling, shift planning, performance evaluations, qualifications, and employee motivation.
  • Participate in internal budgeting and cost monitoring in an advisory and expert capacity.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed education for the intermediate fire service level.
  • University degree or technical college diploma plus certification as a fire company leader or equivalent qualification.
  • Successful completion of fire inspector training.
  • At least five years of professional experience in fire service.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and coordinate emergency response teams.
  • Basic knowledge of business administration.
  • Physical and mental fitness according to fire service standards, including a valid G 26/3 medical certificate.
  • High resilience and suitability for shift work.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and assertiveness skills.
  • Valid Class CE driver's license.
