Role Overview
As lemon.markets embarks on its next growth phase, we seek a VP People to evolve the People & Talent function into a mature, consistent, and scalable organization. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the extended executive board, you will lead the entire People and Talent team, work closely with leadership across lemon.markets and dwpbank, and embed structures, principles, and leadership frameworks to shape culture and enhance collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end management of People & Talent, driving improvements in talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, feedback, career progression, and HR policies.
- Scale and institutionalize existing processes, standards, and initiatives to ensure their continuous effective application across the company.
- Develop and refine leadership structures, including creating Leadership Principles and Leadership Development frameworks.
- Serve as a strategic adviser to the CEO and leadership team on organizational effectiveness and leadership challenges.
- Facilitate executive forums such as the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Board, ensuring focused preparation, engagement, and accountability.
- Manage company-wide key rituals including All Hands meetings, planning cycles, offsites, and leadership ceremonies.
- Enhance collaboration and cultural integration between lemon.markets and dwpbank, fostering effective cross-organizational cooperation.
Candidate Profile
- Proven senior People leader with broad experience in regulated industries (preferably FinTech) familiar with driving mature HR functions.
- Comprehensive generalist expertise in areas including HR Business Partnering, People Development, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, leadership support, and culture management.
- Hands-on knowledge of compensation structures, performance frameworks, recruitment processes, capacity, and budget planning.
- Experience guiding organizations through cultural transformation and change, including mergers or acquisitions, with ability to manage uncertainty pragmatically.
- Servant leadership mindset, committed to mentoring, coaching, and developing others through high-quality feedback and support.
- Strong organizational skills, adept at managing agendas, timelines, preparation, and follow-through in leadership contexts.
- Executive presence to represent HR leadership, facilitate senior discussions, maintain accountability, and assert boundaries when needed.
- Entrepreneurial and delivery-oriented approach focused on execution and problem-solving.
- Fluent communicator in German and English at C1 or higher levels.
