Job description
Role Overview
This is a senior leadership opportunity with a partner organization in the United States. The company is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships & Alliances to create and scale a strategic partner ecosystem that supports enterprise growth. The role is designed for someone who can combine long-range strategy with practical execution in a fast-moving technology environment, especially within AI-focused enterprise solutions.
You will be responsible for turning partnerships into a major engine for pipeline creation, customer acquisition, and revenue. Working alongside executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will shape the go-to-market approach, strengthen key alliances, and establish repeatable programs that support sustainable growth. The role also involves building a high-performing partnerships function from the ground up.
Accountabilities
- Create and carry out a full partnerships and alliances plan aimed at increasing pipeline, revenue, and market reach.
- Identify, recruit, and activate strategic partners across systems integrators, hyperscalers, channel partners, technology partners, and related enterprise ecosystems.
- Grow partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities through co-selling, joint account planning, and focused go-to-market initiatives.
- Develop scalable partner programs, partner enablement structures, success measures, and operating processes.
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Revenue Operations, and executive stakeholders to keep partnership efforts aligned with business priorities and customer requirements.
- Recruit, coach, and manage a strong partnerships team, setting direction and driving performance.
- Track partner performance, pipeline contribution, and revenue outcomes, then refine partnership approaches based on results.
- Act as a senior representative at executive meetings, customer discussions, partner events, and industry conferences, including travel when needed.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, channel leadership, or indirect go-to-market roles in enterprise software.
- A strong history of creating strategic partnerships that reliably produce enterprise pipeline and revenue.
- Deep experience working with systems integrators, hyperscalers, channel partners, technology alliances, or comparable enterprise partner networks.
- Solid enterprise sales understanding with the ability to influence complex, high-value deals.
- Proven experience building and scaling global partnerships teams, including distributed leadership.
- Ability to understand complex technical products and present them effectively to senior technology decision-makers such as CIOs, CTOs, and leaders in AI or data.
- A builder-oriented, strategic mindset with the ability to design partner programs from scratch in a high-growth setting.
- Excellent skills in executive communication, negotiation, relationship building, and leadership.
- Willingness to travel about 30-40% for customer meetings, partner interactions, and industry events.
Benefits
- Competitive executive-level compensation package.
- Variable incentives tied to pipeline creation and revenue growth.
- A highly visible leadership position with strong strategic influence.
- Direct exposure to founders and senior leadership.
- Chance to create and expand a key business function from the ground up.
- Opportunity to work closely with advanced enterprise AI technology and innovation.
- Strong potential for long-term career progression in a fast-growing organization.
