Where you'll work

Job description

Role overview

This position suits a highly analytical finance professional with deep experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investor relations. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance and business unit COO teams to provide executive-level financial insight that supports decision-making and business expansion. The role calls for a confident self-starter who can develop fresh analytical material for weekly senior leadership reviews.

What you will do

  • Own and coordinate the firm’s annual Investor Day deck, partnering with the business unit COO, External Reporting, Legal, and Marketing teams to deliver a consistent investor message on strategic priorities.
  • Prepare the firm’s quarterly earnings estimate, summarize the outcome for senior leaders, and handle follow-up questions and outstanding items from the discussion.
  • Evaluate external consensus earnings models maintained by coverage analysts and act as the main contact for these external stakeholders.
  • Analyze quarterly forecasts and reported results, including prior-period variance, and turn the findings into a concise story explaining performance across major segments such as Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Asset Management.
  • Work with External Reporting to ensure the quarterly results press release is completed accurately and on time.
  • Build weekly meeting agendas and supporting materials for discussions with the Controller and CFO.
  • Supervise and develop junior team members, making sure they receive the training and support they need.
  • Partner with IT to design, improve, and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and AI agents.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and executive presentations on topics such as segment profitability, total addressable market opportunities, market share and competitor analysis, and return on tangible equity scenario analysis.

What we are looking for

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investor relations, financial reporting, or a similar finance discipline, ideally within financial services and preferably at an investment bank.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, accounting fundamentals, financial markets, and financial products.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, with the ability to convert large data sets into clear, executive-ready analyses and presentations.
  • Proven experience building sophisticated financial models.
  • Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate across functions, engage stakeholders at all levels, and work independently with good judgment.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A CFA or similar qualification is considered an advantage.

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.
