Role Overview
This position combines hands-on teaching with the responsibility of creating and refining vocational training materials to enhance the overall learning experience. The role involves delivering interactive and engaging technical instruction to a varied audience while supporting general and specialty engineering teams with course content development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive training across various modules within the Vocational Training Program, while conducting learner assessments aligned with established strategies.
- Deliver high-quality vocational education, focusing primarily on general engineering and specialty short courses, ensuring effective support to relevant teams.
- Facilitate dynamic learning experiences tailored to promote student engagement, understanding, and skill acquisition.
- Continuously improve teaching resources and instructional techniques to optimize learning outcomes.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, ensuring all vocational and contracted courses are delivered with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare and revise teaching resources such as lesson plans, presentations, handouts, and evaluation tools.
- Incorporate modern teaching practices and technologies to foster interactive learning environments.
- Collaborate with instructional teams to integrate feedback and instructional approaches into course development.
- Offer constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning progression and attain educational goals.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage student growth and success.
- Engage with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously refine curriculum content, delivery methods, and assessment processes.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and vocational education best practices, integrating relevant updates into course content and teaching methods.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional capabilities.
- Ensure all training complies with regulatory standards and quality benchmarks in vocational education.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holding a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience as a vocational instructor or a comparable role with a preference for engineering or technical education backgrounds.
- Proficiency in instructional design, capable of creating effective teaching materials and conducting assessments that meet required standards.
- Up-to-date knowledge and use of contemporary teaching methods and educational technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills that motivate and engage learners effectively.
- A committed approach to continuous enhancement of teaching practices and student achievements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Adaptability to address diverse student needs by tailoring teaching strategies accordingly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in training design based on BSAT/DSAT frameworks.
