Job description
Role Overview
As a Visual Merchandiser Specialist for adidas in Ashford, you will play a key role in elevating the in-store brand experience to meet or exceed sales and profit goals. Reporting directly to the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager for Omnichannel, you will help ensure the successful implementation of European visual merchandising strategies at assigned locations.
Communication and Collaboration
- Provide routine, documented feedback about visual merchandising performance in-store to the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager and European VM stakeholders, supporting key deliverables.
- Relay information from the Regional Manager to Store Managers and staff via training sessions and meetings.
- Participate actively in team meetings and daily huddles to assess store needs and communicate these to the Regional Manager.
Merchandising and Display Responsibilities
- Lead layout planning and implement bubble and micro plans as agreed.
- Ensure all stores comply fully with European branding and merchandising standards to offer a consistent shopping experience.
- Maintain premium window displays, including proper mannequin dressing and positioning, lighting adjustment, cleanliness, steaming, and price tag accuracy.
- Create distinct Shop-In-Shop areas to highlight product categories clearly.
- Order and correctly place In-Store communication materials.
- Dress mannequins and arrange props appropriately throughout the store.
- Consistently apply and uphold Brand Retail and Visual Merchandising standards.
- Conduct monthly VM compliance submissions, including photography upload to systems.
- Provide commercial insights on implemented VM strategies, analyzing space utilization against sales outcomes.
- Ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives coordinated with the marketing department.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and take responsibility for the in-store visual merchandiser, building confidence in their knowledge and skills while fostering high performance through goal-setting.
- Set clear roles and performance expectations aligned with business goals.
- Regularly assess team member competencies, give constructive feedback, and serve as a coach and mentor.
Equipment Handling
- Oversee the return and proper storage of unused fixtures, mannequins, props, and graphic frames.
- Ensure fixture care to prevent damage.
Professional Development
- Attend regular VM team meetings to stay aligned on best practices.
- Participate in showroom setup quarterly when requested.
- Engage in development activities as directed by the Regional VM Manager.
Working Hours
- Work standard hours Monday through Friday, 5 days per week.
- Remain flexible to accommodate campaign launches, layout changes, and responsibilities outside the store.
Performance Indicators
- Driving commercial returns.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills with Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent English communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Good numerical literacy.
- Secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of one year dedicated experience in visual merchandising.
