Role Overview
The Marketing Manager leads the development and implementation of marketing initiatives at a specific Eataly store, overseeing public relations, events, education, social media, and graphic design efforts. This role reports directly to the Director of Store Operations and functionally to the Director of Marketing, PR, and Communication while managing the in-store marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior store leadership to devise and execute an extensive marketing plan and budget targeting increased brand exposure, foot traffic, and revenue
- Partner with corporate marketing to align national campaigns with localized marketing activities
- Lead the marketing team by recruiting, scheduling, training, motivating, processing payroll, and conducting evaluations
- Work cross-functionally to plan and organize both public and private events within the store
- Maintain and nurture partnerships with celebrity chefs, business allies, producers, local groups, and public institutions
- Safeguard the Eataly brand through strategic marketing communications internal and external, including graphic and PR content
- Regularly analyze marketing effectiveness and update senior leadership weekly
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
- Minimum of 4 years marketing experience including leadership roles
- Demonstrated background in the food and beverage sector, preferably Italian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of Italian culture and culinary traditions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship-building ability
- Advanced problem-solving and business management capabilities
- Industry knowledge and connections within the food sector
- Fluency in Italian language is highly desirable
- Willingness to work onsite with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel up to 10% of working time
