Overview
As a Visual Merchandiser in our Kiel store, you will design a visually captivating and inspiring retail environment that attracts and motivates customers to purchase at C&A. You will creatively decorate window displays and mannequins, coach sales colleagues, and ensure that the Visual Merchandising (VM) standards are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain attractive, sales-oriented product presentations that follow VM guidelines while integrating your own creative ideas.
- Design inspiring window displays and mannequin arrangements to capture customer attention.
- Utilize merchandise management systems to analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs), using these insights to optimize product presentation and collection alignment.
- Apply centrally-developed sales strategies and concepts within the store’s visual presentations.
- Enhance sales performance by presenting merchandise in a creative and appealing manner.
- Train and guide your sales team colleagues to correctly implement VM standards.
- Take initiative to implement profitable actions whenever opportunities arise.
- Offer styling advice and assistance to customers who need help or have questions regarding products.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completed commercial retail education with substantial experience in Visual Merchandising, or an alternative qualification such as Visual Marketing Designer or another creative profession.
- Strong analytical skills enabling the translation of sales figures into actionable solutions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, working closely with the Store Manager to set priorities and devise weekly plans.
- Good understanding of business processes with proficient use of space metrics and merchandise management systems.
- A keen sense for customer needs and the ability to convert these into wearable visual merchandising concepts.
- Passionate about fashion, trends, colors, shapes, and design aesthetics.
