Job description

Role overview

This freelance opportunity is for a video producer in Ireland, working with a partner company that handles all applications and subsequent stages of the hiring process. The assignment sits within an educational content initiative focused on producing high-quality technical training resources for software professionals.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end video production workflow and turn existing learning content into polished instructional videos that improve the learner journey. You’ll partner with an instructional design specialist and combine technical comprehension, creative editing, and production know-how to create content that is clear, engaging, and visually strong. The work covers narrated coding demos, animated presentations, and professionally finished training modules for a global audience.

Accountabilities

  • Build a full set of instructional training videos using prepared educational materials, scripts, and technical documentation.
  • Record crisp screen-capture demonstrations of coding, terminal activity, and software processes while keeping the visuals easy to follow and accessible for learners.
  • Design and refine animated slide decks, including voiceover syncing and engaging visual treatment.
  • Handle the complete post-production cycle, including editing, sound cleanup, graphics work, chaptering, lower-third text, timestamps, and final quality checks.
  • Work closely with instructional partners to make sure the videos stay aligned with the learning goals and technical subject matter.
  • Match narration, chapter labels, transcripts, and metadata with the software demonstrations and supporting documents.
  • Coach and assist subject matter experts during recording to help them present clearly and effectively.
  • Deliver the finished videos together with all source materials and production assets in line with project requirements and timelines.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience creating professional e-learning, software training, or technical instructional video content.
  • Strong command of screen recording, video editing, motion graphics, and post-production processes.
  • Ability to interpret code, software walkthroughs, and technical documentation well enough to keep content accurate and aligned.
  • Experience guiding presenters or subject matter experts through recording sessions.
  • Working knowledge of professional production tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Audition, Descript, OBS, or similar software.
  • Hands-on experience with transcripts, captions, chapter markers, and metadata creation/editing.
  • Access to licensed production software and the capacity to manage production tasks independently.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills for handling deliverables, deadlines, edits, and stakeholder input.
  • Excellent communication skills and a sharp eye for detail throughout the production process.
  • Availability to support delivery within the agreed project schedule.

Perks

  • Flexible freelance arrangement with remote working.
  • Chance to contribute to a large-scale professional certification and technical education program.
  • Creative control over production methods and tool choice.
  • Collaboration with seasoned instructional design and technical content teams.
  • Exposure to advanced software training content and developer-oriented learning materials.
  • Well-defined project scope with scripts, content, and supporting resources already prepared.
  • Opportunity to strengthen your portfolio with professionally produced technical education work.
  • Independent working style with flexibility to organize your own schedule and production approach.
