Job description

About Jada Capital Management

Jada Capital Management is a private equity firm concentrated on investing in residential real estate assets across the United States. Its primary focus lies in multifamily properties, complemented by opportunistic strategies spanning build-to-rent and various rental housing segments. The firm operates through two main approaches: acquiring institutional-grade assets and portfolios directly, and providing structured equity capital solutions such as preferred equity, joint venture co-investments, and general partner level financing to established sponsors.

Position Overview

Jada is seeking its inaugural senior investment professional to join a well-funded platform with a dedicated deployment mandate. This critical role involves collaborating closely with the Founder throughout the entire investment process, from deal origination and closing to asset management. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping the firm’s underwriting methodology, market expansion, and institutional framework. Compensation and title will match experience, targeting candidates at the Vice President or Senior Vice President level. The opportunity includes potential progression into leadership and team development as the platform grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the underwriting process and financial modeling for both direct acquisitions and structured equity deals, including analyses of rent rolls, trailing twelve-month financials, value-add strategies, debt sizing, and structuring of waterfalls, promotes, and preferred returns.
  • Originate and screen prospective investments through relationships with brokers, lenders, sponsors, and principals, maintaining active pipelines across target geographic markets and capital stack positions.
  • Assess structured equity opportunities with third-party sponsors by performing due diligence on track records, alignment of interests, and downside risk protections.
  • Manage end-to-end transaction execution, including coordination of due diligence activities, review of third-party reports, insurance and tax assessments, and liaising with legal, lending, and equity teams through to closing.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment committee memoranda, letters of intent, and investor presentations to exacting institutional standards.
  • Assist with capital markets activities such as agency and bank debt placement and negotiating term sheets.
  • Oversee asset management following acquisition, including executing business plans, supervising budgets, managing operating partners and property managers, and producing quarterly reports for investors.
  • Develop and enhance the firm’s underwriting framework, market research capabilities, and associated data infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Between 6 and 12 years of experience in real estate investing, especially with direct multifamily or residential transactions, ideally at leading private equity firms, investment managers, REITs, or institutional owners/operators.
  • An exemplary academic background from a prestigious undergraduate institution, demonstrating consistent scholastic and professional achievement.
  • A proven track record reflecting personal responsibility for underwriting, structuring, and closing significant real estate deals.
  • Significant familiarity with structured equity, preferred equity, or joint venture/general partner investments alongside third-party sponsors is highly desirable.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in industry tools such as CoStar, Yardi Matrix, RealPage, and other institutional market data platforms.
  • Expertise in multifamily property operations, agency and bank financing strategies, and managing complex partnership arrangements.
  • Superior analytical and written communication skills; capable of producing investment committee materials requiring minimal edits.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually honest, and thrives in an entrepreneurial, lean environment with full accountability for deliverables.
