Position Overview
We are searching for an innovative and commercially savvy Vice President of Global Brand Marketing to spearhead the strategic transformation of the Ellis Brooklyn brand. This executive will oversee the brand's expression across every touchpoint, encompassing long-term brand development, product positioning, launch strategies, integrated campaigns, retail narratives, and consumer engagement initiatives.
Reporting directly to the CEO-Founder, this leader will be the principal custodian of the brand's story, collaborating closely with teams across Product Development, Creative, Digital, Sales, Education, PR/Influencer Relations, and Operations to ensure all launches and campaigns meet brand standards and drive tangible business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the global brand positioning, messaging framework, and extended marketing strategies.
- Guarantee brand consistency across all customer-facing channels, including digital, retail, social media, educational platforms, experiential marketing, and partnerships.
- Uphold a luxurious brand experience aligned with modern beauty trends.
- Collaborate with Creative teams to ensure campaigns and storytelling align with the brand's visuals and verbal identity.
- Lead strategic development and market introduction of products alongside the CEO-Founder, including innovative storytelling methods for fragrances.
- Drive product positioning, naming, claim strategies, and comprehensive go-to-market plans.
- Identify market gaps and future innovation pipelines in partnership with Product Development and CEO.
- Oversee pricing strategies, competitor assessments, and market positioning recommendations.
- Design comprehensive 360° marketing plans spanning earned, owned, paid, retail, influencer, experiential, and e-commerce channels.
- Manage launch schedules and ensure seamless cross-department collaboration.
- Supervise teams responsible for influencer relations, event activations, creative, and social media.
- Create scalable marketing frameworks connecting storytelling with measurable performance.
- Spot new opportunities for cultural relevance, partnerships, collaborations, and audience engagement.
- Develop a thorough understanding of luxury beauty consumers through qualitative and quantitative research.
- Track market shifts, competitor conduct, and emerging consumer patterns.
- Convert consumer insights into actionable strategies for brand and product.
- Establish key performance indicators and reporting structures to assess brand health and campaign efficiency.
- Build and nurture a skilled marketing team promoting accountability and growth.
- Facilitate coordination among Creative, Product Development, Sales, Digital, PR/Influencer, and Executive leaders.
- Create systematic processes for launches, marketing execution, and decision-making.
- Manage external agencies, strategic partnerships, and marketing budget adherence.
- Represent the marketing function in quarterly board meetings.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of escalated responsibility in brand and product marketing within luxury or prestige beauty, skincare, wellness, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven leadership in integrated marketing strategy and product commercialization for premium consumer brands.
- Deep knowledge of luxury beauty consumer behavior and dynamic industry trends.
- Track record of launching transformative product categories and cementing lasting brand value.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, storytelling, and communication capabilities.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performing marketing teams.
- Collaborative leadership style suited to entrepreneurial, high-velocity environments.
- Capability to combine creative insight with rigorous commercial analysis and data-informed decisions.
- Ability to execute essential functions with or without accommodations.
- Self-driven, organized, and accountable for delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
- Proactive problem solver with strong communication skills.

- Background in fragrance or beauty brands is highly desirable.
- Experience working closely with founders and senior executives.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary band is $225,000 to $300,000 annually, depending on expertise and qualifications. The role includes performance-related bonuses and potential equity options.
