Position Summary
We are seeking a Director or Managing Director-level senior analyst to manage syndicated high-yield corporate loans within a growing U.S. CLO platform. This full-time role is based in Midtown New York City with options for hybrid or remote work. The position involves integrated investment strategies across various capital structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exclusive coverage for companies in designated sectors to evaluate and monitor leveraged credits for the CLO platform and opportunistic credit funds.
- Analyze full capital structures leveraging fundamental research, relative value measures, risk assessment, financial modeling including downside scenarios, and review of legal documentation.
- Develop detailed investment recommendations, prepare memos, conduct portfolio updates, and create financial models to support decision-making.
- Engage in portfolio management activities, adopting a portfolio manager mindset within coverage areas to optimize investment outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years relevant investing experience with a strong track record.
- Comprehensive expertise in capital structures, industry sectors, debt restructuring, and legal documentation associated with credit analysis.
- Ability to conduct thorough independent due diligence, identifying key risks and opportunities effectively.
- Familiarity with CLO mechanics and constraints is essential.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and demonstrated successful performance history.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, exemplifying integrity, curiosity, and collaborative teamwork.
- Established relationships with investors, sell-side firms, and corporate management teams.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg terminal, AI analytical tools, and leading high-yield data sources.
- Preferred credentials include CFA designation, MBA, and backgrounds in mathematics or accounting. Multilingual capabilities are an advantage.
