About the Role
MUFG is looking for a Regional Infrastructure Project Manager to lead delivery across multiple locations in the APAC region. In this position, you will guide a regional team of project managers, coordinate across functions, and drive projects with a strong focus on execution, governance, and operational discipline. The role calls for tactical leadership and a consistent ability to align project outcomes with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute approaches that improve project delivery across different locations.
- Ensure regional project management practices stay aligned with company goals and priorities.
- Contribute as an important member of the Project Portfolio Management function for infrastructure project delivery.
- Manage, coach, and support a team of regional project managers.
- Build a team culture that values accountability, cooperation, and ongoing improvement.
- Review performance and help each team member with career and development planning.
- Track projects to make sure they are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Identify risks early, remove blockers, and keep delivery moving forward.
- Set and uphold high standards for project management execution.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Serve as the escalation contact for serious project issues.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders across the region.
- Improve workflows and resource use to increase operational efficiency.
- Make sure project work follows relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Report KPIs, delivery progress, and financial results to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Prepare detailed updates and reports for both internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in infrastructure project management.
- At least 5 years of experience leading senior-level project management teams or functions.
- Hands-on exposure to project management approaches such as Agile, Waterfall, and Lean.
- Experience using project management tools and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership qualities and sound decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to support change, encourage innovation, and adapt to evolving needs.
- Comfort working across cultures with a global mindset.
- Good financial understanding and budget oversight capability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- PMP certification is required.
